ORDINATIONS OF 21 DEACONS IN BAMEDA, Monday 29 June 2015

Homily of Bishop Agapitus Nfon ordaining
21 Deacons, acolytes who are studying in STABambui. There were 11 for Bamenda, 3 for Buea, 2 for Kumbo, 2 for the Capuchin Friary, and one each for Mamfe, Bafoussam and Berberati (CAR).
1. Diaconate is a Ministry of Service in the Church; the first step of the clerical life towards the Catholic Priesthood.
2.Handle the mysteries of God with fidelity.
3. A deacon must be one of good reputation, not given to drinking nor have an inordinordinate  desire for money, position and wealth.
4. We have lots of modern challenges. Hence we must be mature enough to face these concretely.
