The Archdiocese of Bamenda runs a microfinance scheme called OPUS SECURITATIS, for short, OPSECS.  OPSECS Ltd. is a category II microfinance enterprise created
Reg. No. TPPRR:RC.BDA. 2014B.245 of 20 January 2014 with the help of a seasoned and retired National Controller of taxes, Mr Sebastian Dzekashu who became its first Director and built up OPSEC before handing it over to the new team in place now. The vision of OPSECS  is to be a leading category II microfinance enterprise providing services to the less privileged irrespective of religion, race and gender. That is why OPSECS has as mission- to provide financial security and empower the poor. Anyone can in fact become a shareholder. At the moment, the shareholders include Archbishop's House, all Parishes and Institutions of the Archdiocese, and individuals. OPSEC provides Guaranteed Savings; Current Account; Long Term Loans; Short Term Loans; Payment of Salaries; Njangi Financing; Anniversary Accounts; Minor Accounts; School Fees Mobilisation Account; Daily Savings, Term Deposit; Check clearing; Evaluation and follow-up of projects sponsored by OSPECS and build the capacity of customers so that they can better manage their finances. The OPSECS management team is composed of the following:

The head office of OPSECS  is at St Bernard's House, T-Junction, Mankon, Bamenda but there is the hope that offices will soon be established in Yaounde, Douala, Mamfe and Kumbo. All fees for Catholic institutions are paid directly to OPSECS.
