Parish Church Baba 1

St Mark's Parish Baba I  was created on 1 July 2008 with territory detached from Ndop Parish. 2 of the Mission Stations of this Parish are historic significance - first, Babungo which is the home of Peter Wamey and Henry Wanti, the two catechists who led the Sacred Heart Fathers. In fact, the fon of Babungo struggled very hard to keep the team in Babungo but they continued and stayed at Babessi, the last Mission Station of the Parish on the outskirts with Kumbo Diocese. Today Baba Parish has 17 Mission Stations, 13 catechists, 5 Catholic Primary Schools, a St Monica's Health Centre run by the Holy Union Sisters who also have their Postulancy Formation House in Baba.  There are three priests in the Parish - Fr Anthony Bangsi the Parish Priest assisted by Fr Benedict Ndikum as Manager of Schools. Mrs Gwekenyi Bridgit is the Parish Pastoral Chairperson, Mme Emilia Chayi, chair of the Parish Pastoral Formation Team and Mme Anna Fornwe Finance Chair.
